Amendment to SB 603-FN
Amend the bill by replacing all after the enacting clause with the following:
1 Department of Health and Human Services; Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); Appropriation. There is hereby appropriated to the department of health and human services the sum of $4,400,000 for the state fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, for the purpose of supporting the administrative cost impacts resulting from federal legislative cost-share changes to SNAP. The department may accept and expend matching federal funds without prior approval of the fiscal committee. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
2 Effective Date. This act shall be effective July 1, 2026.

AMENDED ANALYSIS
This bill makes an appropriation to the department of health and human services for the purpose of supporting administrative costs to SNAP resulting from federal cost-share changes to the program.
