Amendment to HB 501

 

Amend the title of the bill by replacing it with the following:

 

AN ACT requiring the university system of New Hampshire and community college system of New Hampshire to annually report faculty salaries to the higher education commission.

 

Amend the bill by replacing all after the enacting clause with the following:

 

1  New Subdivision; Faculty Salary Report.  Amend RSA 187-A by inserting after section 44 the following new subdivision:

Faculty Salary Report

187-A:45  Faculty Salary Report.  The president of each institution in the university system of New Hampshire, or a designee shall, no later than January 1, 2022 and annually thereafter, submit a report detailing the salaries of all of its full-time and adjunct faculty members to the higher education commission established in RSA 21-N:8-a, II.

2  New Subdivision; Faculty Salary Report.  Amend RSA 188-F by inserting after section 69 the following new subdivision:

188-F:70  Faculty Salary Report.  The president of each institution in the community college system of New Hampshire, or a designee shall, no later than January 1, 2022 and annually thereafter, submit a report detailing the salaries of all of its full-time and adjunct faculty members to the higher education commission established in RSA 21-N:8-a, II.

3  Department of Education; Higher Education Commission.  Amend RSA 21-N:8-a, II(e)(10) to read as follows:

(10)  Collect and retain faculty salary reports from institutions in the university system of New Hampshire pursuant to RSA 187-A:45, and the community college system of New Hampshire pursuant to RSA 188-F:70, and make such reports available to the public upon request.

(11)  Assume other responsibilities as may be provided in state or federal law.

4  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
