STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Five

 

AN ACT requiring instruction on communism in public high schools.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Subparagraph; Education; School Boards, Transportation and Instruction of Pupils; Instruction in National and State History and Government and Civics.  Amend RSA 189:11, I-c by inserting after subparagraph (j) the following new subparagraph:

(k)  A minimum of one hour of instruction in high school on the nature and history of communism.  Such instruction may be provided as a stand alone activity or embedded in an existing course.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect September 1, 2025.

METHODOLOGY:

This bill, assumed to be effective for the 2025-2026 school year, requires high schools to include not less than one hour of instruction on the nature and history of communism.  Any cost for local school districts to comply with this requirement is unknown and will vary from district to district.
