STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Five
AN ACT making an appropriation to the department of education to fund the online tutoring program.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Appropriation; Department of Education. The sum of $1,000,000 for the biennium ending June 30, 2027 is hereby appropriated to the department of education to continue the state’s online tutoring program. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.? These funds shall be non-lapsing.
2 The department shall report annually, beginning June 30, 2026, on the use and effectiveness of the program to the governor, the president of the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives, the chair of the house education policy and administration committee, the chair of the house education finance committee, the chair of the senate education committee, and the chair of the senate education finance committee.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025.

METHODOLOGY:
This bill provides a $1,000,000 general fund appropriation for the biennium ending June 30, 2027, to the Department of Education to continue the state's online tutoring program (Tutor.com). The Department states the current contract with the Princeton Review for Tutor.com is $1,600,000 per year, therefore, funding in this bill is insufficient by $1,100,000 in each FY 2026 and FY 2027 ($2,200,000 total).
