STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six
AN ACT requiring disclosure of Japanese knotweed in real property transactions.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Conveyances of Realty; Notification Required; Japanese Knotweed. Amend RSA 477:4-d by inserting after paragraph I the following new paragraph:
I-a. At the time of closing and in addition to the required disclosures under this section, the seller shall complete and sign a disclosure with information relative to whether Japanese knotweed is present or not on the property as of the date of sale.
2 Conveyances of Realty; Notification Required; Japanese Knotweed. Amend RSA 477:4-d, II to read as follows:
II. The fact that the information requiring disclosure regarding the private water supply system, private sewage disposal system, [and] insulation, or Japanese knotweed is not available shall also be conveyed, in writing, when such is the case.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
