This bill requires that orders for the payment of past due amounts of alimony shall be enforced according to their terms unless modified by an agreement or statute.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six

 

AN ACT relative to the enforcement of alimony orders.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Paragraph; Term and Reimbursement Alimony.  Amend RSA 458:19-a by inserting after paragraph VI the following new paragraph:

VII.  Orders for the payment of past due amounts of alimony shall be enforced according to their terms unless modified by an agreement of the parties or pursuant to RSA 458:19-aa.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect January 1, 2027.
